IVM Exposes Plans To Establish Maintenance Centres In Abia

Gov Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State over the weekend received the founder and chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, IVM, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, and his team in a courtesy visit at his residence in Isiala-Ngwa in Abia State.

It was a business meeting aimed at strengthening relations between the Abia State Government and the company. Abia State government reaffirmed its commitment to increased patronage of Innoson vehicles.

In his welcome speech, The governor lauded Innoson’s dedication to quality and expressed ongoing support for the local manufacturer. “I have seen the resilience in you since we met in 2005 and it’s really commendable. From my days in the banking sector, I have always found ways to support Innoson Vehicles”.

He emphasized the significance of patronizing homegrown brands and highlighted his enduring partnership with Innoson Vehicles.

“Abia State’s Partnership with Innoson Vehicles remains very solid. Everybody knows that even during my inauguration, you produced the trucks I used. The Speaker, Deputy speaker’s vehicles, and others are all made by Innoson, supplied within the last two weeks”.

IVM To Establish Maintenance & Conversion Centre In Abia State

Giving his remarks, the Chairman/CEO of Innoson Vehicles, Chief, Dr Innocent Chukwuma CON, acknowledged the governor’s continued support and promotion of the Innoson brand and proposed that his company would like to establish a maintenance centre for Innoson vehicles in the state.

He further disclosed plans to make Abia the hub for converting petrol and diesel engine vehicles to compressed natural gas (CNG) engines.

“Work has begun in Abia State for the IVM CNG Conversion hub. A lot of people still use petrol/diesel-powered vehicles and we are here to help many people convert their vehicles to CNG in order to make transportation more affordable”.

The state’s collaboration with Innoson Motors remains strong, with ongoing purchases and support for local manufacturing.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Monitoring and Evaluation, Mazi Okoroafor Ugochukwu testified to the quality of cars produced by Innoson Vehicles and assured the team of their continued support, noting especially the purchase of about 40 vehicles delivered to Abia State recently, out of the 50 ordered from it’s first phase.
